Privacy of a Member’s Collection

We try to reduce the risk that someone will steal plants from a collection.

In October, 2019, a very large collection in Gilgandra was robbed. To guard against damage to collections, the Society will, as far as possible, keep the location of a member’s collection private. This means the Society will not advise the public of addresses of outdoor meetings. Secondly, only members may attend outdoor meetings or visits to member gardens. Lastly, members must not publish or tell non-members of the addresses of collections, or bring non-members to outdoor meetings.

The Society's Public Liability Insurance policy also requires that only financial members may attend Society "outdoor" meetings.

"Indoor" meetings are public.
